Alloa Online was founded under the ClacksNet umbrella to promote local community use of the Internet, & provide assistance for local community groups to get on-line & have a web presence. The finishing touches are being made to the plans for the community fayre which will celebrate the re-opening of Alloa's railway. The event on Saturday 17th May will begin with a parade through Alloa Town Centre - it will leave Kilncraigs at 11.30am and lead to Greenfield Park where a fun-packed afternoon of free family entertainment will take place. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Armstrong Sidley cars, cyclists, a penny farthing, Asda trolleys and wacky races will also be in the parade. The fayre will be officially opened at noon by Provost Derek Stewart followed by a huge programme of entertainment with something for all ages. |
